Sarah Mokh

Sarah is an academic and filmmaker interested in what storytelling reveals about our deepest beliefs. She graduated from Harvard College, where she studied Islamic Intellectual History and English, and NYU, where she received her MA in Near Eastern Studies. She is currently a PhD student at NYU in the Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies Department, studying Islamic Intellectual history and literature. As a filmmaker, her scripts have been supported or recognized by Film Independent, the Academy Nicholl Fellowship, and the Sundance Institute, where she was a 2024 feature film fellow. Her directing debut is an official selection at the 2025 SXSW Film and TV festival. She is in development on her first feature film.
