Shaykh Mahdi Mohammadpour

Shaykh Mahdi Mohammadpour Shahkolahi is the Executive Director of Mufid Seminary, where he leads programs aimed at fostering the intellectual grounding, spiritual formation, and communitarianism of young Shia Muslims in North America. After earning a B.S. in Information Systems from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, Sh. Mahdi spent a decade studying traditional Islamic sciences at the Islamic Seminary of Qom. He is currently a PhD Candidate in the Department of Theology & Religious Studies at Georgetown University, focusing on the global consciousness and contextualization of contemporary Islam, an Adjunct Professor of Religious Studies at George Mason University, and an instructor at Mizan Institute.
