Laila Tauqeer

Laila Tauqeer is a community organizer and educator passionate about working with Muslim communities in North America to collectively explore what our critical engagement with the world looks like from an Islamic lens, especially as young people. She currently serves as the Director of Ma'rifa and is extremely excited to be leading the organization into its 5th year. Laila has previously served as the Director of Islamic Learning and the President of Harvard Islamic Society, as an Executive Member of Taha Collective in Boston, as the Chief Operating Officer at Mufid Academic Seminary, and as a consultant with El-Hibri Foundation. She was born in Sahiwal, Pakistan, raised in Sacramento, California, and now lives in Washington DC!
